Where???

Somehow my blog banner has disappeared. Where did it go? I don't understand.

And More Little Journal Pages

 

And that is the end of the pages in this journal.  (One of "features" of

the updated Blogger editor is that you can "drag and drop" photos

to wherever you want them in the post. I guess I'm missing something

because it's not working for me.) Thus the strangeness of this

"layout." Plus the preview doesn't really show you what the published

post will look like. Plus I can't figure out how to get the type/paragraphs

to appear where I want them to. They always end up in no- man's- land.

I tried to drag and drop this copy block above, and then tried to copy 

and paste it and then tried to move the cursor to where I wanted to start 

typing. All...to no avail.

Trying out Linking

Watching some links to John Lennon songs/videos. I still get chills when I listen to/watch "Imagine," but I linked to this because I realized JL and I have very tiny lips in common and that is probably the reason he was always/still is my "favorite" Beatle.

I originally posted this not being able to figure out how to "link" a URL to a "word." So I eventually discovered that I would have to somehow change my post  back to a "draft" so that I could then go in  to change/edit the link to the word. Yes, I am still trying to figure out "blogging."

Now Learning To Look at the "Toolbar" at theTop of a New Post

So...I just "happened" to watch a Blogger tutorial on how to, yes, create your own blog. Something I never knew/realized (why???is that?) duh, you can click on the icons in the toolbar connected to the new post box and import images, and other stuff.

O.K. So now let's try it out.

We have been having lovely Native American Summer weather here  in Southeastern Wisconsin. Yesterday we took the doggies for a walk/hike in the arboretum and I took a couple of pictures. It was partly sunny (that's the glass half full) and partly cloudy (that's the glass half empty.) It was late in the afternoon.


Here is where I am going to upload the photos, except when I started to do it I realized I had not resized them in photoshop.  To be continued...

So, I just uploaded 4 pictures using the Link icon at the top of this new post/edit post page, and only one of the images has shown up. O.K. So now I just realized I didn't click O.K. after each picture. So here they all are. Hmmm. But now it seems like I have to do a little type formatting to relate better to the pictures. If I were just "drawing" this, or doing it in Corel Draw, I would know a little better how to do it. And now I must find out how to label the pictues. I knew how to do it before when I was doing it the "wrong way" (see previous post(s.)

It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Halloween

I decided to get out the hated camera and take a few "vignette" pictures of some of our Halloween-related stuff. Well, and some other stuff too. Because I need to get this blog off and running.

I "published" this, and then added the photos I took. When I went to "preview" this post, ALL the other stupid posts I had written previously, but not published, appeared. Also the "test" I did, blogging a photo from flickr had a like back to flickr showing not only the blogged picture but all my photos that are marked family only.

Need I say...Grrrrrrr.  I know, I know--it's just me.   I guess this blog is turning out to be all about how stupid I am at blogging.

Oh, and now the pictures I originally showed here have been  REPLACED  with the pictures I put on my  most recent post. I don't get it!

Still Trying to Figure Out How to Format Pictures (Placement on Page)

There is something about my settings that is not allowing me to format where my photos go on the page.
I have looked at and printed out the instructions from the "help" link, and I do not have the window that tells me to position my photos left, centered, or right. 

More Experimenting with This Blog Stuff

I am trying to figure out how to  format and post pictures ...then I learned there is an "updated editor" which has to be selected. Why wouldn't that be the automatic one? Anyway, here goes again...
